Banco Atlântico's profit grew 12 percent to 30 billion kwanzas

In a statement, to which the Lusa agency had access, Banco Atlântico stressed that the results achieved in 2019 are due to "a strong commitment to efficiency measures, which allowed a reduction of its operating costs of 8.2 percent compared to 2018. , which resulted in a recurring 47 percent cost-to-income (CTI) ratio (two percentage points less than in the previous year) ".

The banking institution ended "successfully" the year of 2019, under the Asset Quality Assessment (AQA), promoted by Banco Nacional de Angola, having closed the year with a regulatory solvency ratio of 14.5 percent.

The bank also informed that, additionally, it continued its investment in the strengthening of the internal control tools, directing its focus to the management of balance sheet risks, highlighting a credit-at-risk ratio of 15.7 percent, minus 1 , 2 percentage points than in the previous year, and a credit risk-at-risk coverage ratio of 130 percent, 29 percentage points more than in 2019.

The note stressed that, last year, Atlântico significantly increased customer acquisition to 2500 daily, which allowed it to increase its base by around 40 percent, exceeding the target of 1.8 million customers.
