The data collected up to this Wednesday show that more than 14,000 people were affected, mainly in the municipalities of Kilamba Kiaxi, Viana and Mulenvos, 2,771 homes were flooded, while 28 others were destroyed, in addition to records of fallen trees, damaged vehicles, among other incidents.

In its latest assessment, the SPCB highlights that its main findings, in general, continue to focus on clusters in risk areas, homes built with inadequate materials or techniques and the weak sanitation system.

According to the SPCB, there are also limitations to its actions, such as the lack of technical rescue equipment, namely motor pumps, chainsaws, suction vehicles, generators, suction hoses for stagnant water in streets and alleys, as well as the lack of support vehicles.
