On the occasion, the French business leader expressed the interest of companies from his country to cooperate with Angola in areas such as space.
"At the end of the meeting, Jean François Bureau told journalists the interest that French companies have in cooperating with the Angolan authorities in areas such as space", reads a statement from CIPRA, to which VerAngola had access.
The meeting was also attended by the ambassador of the French Republic to Angola, Sofi Aubert.
According to the CIPRA statement, the entity received at the Presidential Palace by João Lourenço is in the country participating in NewSpace Africa.
The conference dedicated to the space industry kicked off this Tuesday (2 April) and will take place in Luanda until next Friday (5 April).
It should be noted that, on the first day of the event, the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication said that the country has "the concession of a meteorology satellite in the pipeline".
The NewSpace Africa conference has the motto "The role of space in reducing poverty in Africa".
