The bridge, whose inauguration took place last Wednesday (3 April), as part of activities in reference to 4 April (Day of Peace and National Reconciliation), has "a longitudinal profile of 72 meters, a total width of 13.4 meters, with two lanes of 3.5 meters each and an elevation of 12 meters, connected to access points of around 6 kilometers of paved road", says a statement from the Provincial Government of Cabinda, which VerAngola had access.

On the occasion, Mara Quiosa, governor of Cabinda, reaffirmed the Executive's "commitment to continuing to work on improving infrastructure that facilitates the mobility of people and goods".

Rui Silva, Mota-Engil's works director in Cabinda, informed that the aforementioned bridge has the capacity, in a normal/congested traffic scenario, to "support a vehicle weighing 30 tons per axle, plus a uniformly distributed load" of 900 kilograms per square meter.

He also clarified that "in the case of special vehicle traffic", there is a limit of 60 tons per axle, while a "crowd traveling across the bridge can achieve a uniformly distributed load" of 500 kilograms per square meter.
