The said stadium, by the way, the largest national sports infrastructure, was built from scratch in 2010, at the time of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) in Angola, and due to its poor state of conservation it has been, successively, , closed for improvement works following inspections by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The bans had already been carried out in October 2021 and November 2022.
Thirteen years after its construction, the Estádio 11 de Novembro has several problems in its structure, such as cracks in the pillars and walls, problems in the elevators, in the press booths, as well as a less recommendable appearance on the outside.
