"We also want to municipalize INEMA, that is to say that we want to be closer to the citizen, to allow the citizen to feel safe and to be rescued for the health units spread throughout the country", he said, quoted by Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).
Referring to the 21 years of peace – which will be celebrated this Tuesday, April 4th –, the official said that the institute "is one of the great gains of peace" for coming to provide "national coverage of the entire pre-hospital exercise".
"The National Institute of Medical Emergencies of Angola is one of the great gains of peace, as it has come to cover the entire pre-hospital exercise at national level for the safe rescue of patients to health units", he said, quoted by RNA.
In addition, quoted by RNA, he also considered that "the emergence" of INEMA was important, "so that the citizen on the public road had the opportunity to be rescued safely to the health units and also to intervene in situations of accidents with multiple victims or catastrophes that could eventually happen and that happened over the years before the emergence of peace".
Paulo Matata reinforced that "throughout the existence" of INEMA in the nearly two decades of peace, it can be "said that it was a great gain, yes, and because many citizens have already been rescued safely and have been saved".
"What we leave as a message is to continue to have confidence" in INEMA, "we continue to improve on a day-to-day basis, dedicating ourselves to training, organizing ourselves in the best possible way, we also want to make INEMA municipal, whether say that we want to be closer to the citizen, to allow the citizen to feel safe and to be rescued to the health units spread throughout the country", he stressed, quoted by RNA.
