According to a statement from the BCGA, the proposal to apply the 2022 results and distribute dividends to shareholders was approved, by majority, at the annual general meeting held on March 31, 2023.

The dividends will be paid on the 24th of April on the date of the deliberation on the distribution of profits to holders of Caixa Angola shares until the 31st of March.

In September 2022, Caixa Angola became the first bank with mostly foreign capital and the second Angolan company to have shares admitted to trading on the Angolan debt and stock exchange (BODIVA), after Banco Angolano de Investimentos (BAI).

The Initial Public Offering (IPO) covered 5 million shares (out of a total of 20 million) belonging to Sonangol, representing 25 percent of the share capital and voting rights.

After the IPO, the share capital was distributed by Caixa Geral de Depósitos (51 percent) and Angolan businessmen Jaime Freitas and António Mosquito (19.5 percent each), with the remaining 10 percent going to other institutional shareholders, companies and individual.

Caixa Angola obtained in 2022 a net profit of 34.5 billion kwanzas, the best ever in the bank's 29 years of activity, half of which for dividends. Another 10 percent will be applied as a legal reserve and 40 percent incorporated under the heading "other reserves", according to the minutes of the General Assembly consulted by Lusa.
