Pep Clarós will guide the Angolan national team for a year and two months, in an extensive relationship with the entire technical team, assisted by former basketball players Miguel Lutonda and Aníbal Moreira.
The 52-year-old coach's contract with the FAB ended in August 2021.
Subsequently, he directed the destinies of the Angolan 'five' without a contract, after having been in the pre-Olympic tournament, in Kaunas, Lithuania, and in the qualification for the Japan 2021 Olympic Games, in addition to guiding Angola in Afrobasket 2021, in Rwanda, and in the first qualifying window for the 2023 World Cup.
