Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe will direct Petro de Luanda's Champions League match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has nominated Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe for the game between Petro de Luanda, of Alexandre Santos, and Mamelodi Sundows, from the quarter-finals of the African Champions League.

In the 2021 edition of the African Cup of Nations (CAN), played in 2022, due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Zambian referee was involved in a controversy in the tournament, having ended the game between Mali and Tunisia, twice, in the 85th minute. , and then, at 89, an attitude criticized by Tunisia, which lost 1-0, in a game of the 1st round of group F.

This will be the second time that Janny Sikazwe will referee a game involving Angola's Petro de Luanda in this edition of the African Champions League, after having directed a game against Sagrada Esperança, on March 12, for the fourth round of group D.

The Angolans play the first leg at home, on 15 April, at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, and a week later they decide, in a second leg match, on South African soil, with the refereeing of Ethiopian Bamlak Tessema Weyesa.
