PR received north american bishop in Luanda

This Wednesday, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received the north american Bishop, Silvester Scott, at the Presidential Palace.

:

The bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, quoted in a note made available on CIPRA's Facebook, made it known that the meeting served to discuss the issue of legalization of that church in Angola.

"The African Methodist Church is in the process of registering it. That's why I came here to deal with this registration", he said.

The religious leader was also honored to be the first bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church to be received by João Lourenço.

It should be noted that Silvester Scott is in Angola for a few days' visit and that, during his stay in the country, he will also ordain "some members of the church of the diaconal body".

"In Angola since 1991, the African Methodist Episcopal Church is dedicated to evangelization and develops social activities in the areas of Education and Health", completes the note.
