A government statement to which VerAngola had access states that the contacts were made “within the framework of the obligation that the member states of the United Nations have to contribute to world peace and security”.
The document also informs that telephone contacts were made this Thursday, at different times, having addressed the “situation in Ukraine and its consequences”.
According to the Government, the talks took place “in a very cordial atmosphere”, aiming to achieve an immediate ceasefire and a return to the talks table, in the search for lasting peace, not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe.
