Cited by Angop, Shimon Solomon, Israel's ambassador to Angola, said that his country wants to encourage parliamentary cooperation with Angola, with a view to strengthening relations between both countries.
"We have the same ambitions and desires at the parliamentary level, we don't need to rush, slowly and well we will get there", said the diplomat, at the end of a meeting with the president of the National Assembly, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos.
The ambassador assured that much can be done and that he will work to promote this cooperation, adding that there is greater interest in the fields of education, agriculture and cybernetics.
According to Angop, the official also spoke about the elections in Angola, scheduled for August, saying that he hopes that they will take place in a peaceful and democratic manner.
