The official stressed the improvements in the control of the production of national wood in recent years, as well as the foreign exchange revenues from the export of this natural resource.
Nazaré Veloso, who spoke to public radio, within the scope of the National Forest Forum, to be held on Thursday, in Luanda, stressed the difficulties that previously existed in the control of export earnings.
"Today it is already possible to have a control of the foreign exchange revenues derived from the export of wood, previously this did not happen. In these three years it was possible to register a volume of wood that came out in the order of 108 thousand cubic meters, this volume of wood provided the entry into the national financial system of approximately US $ 61.5 million, during 2018 to 2021 ", he said.
Regarding the forum, the Director of Forests informed that it will serve as a consultation, reflection, on the various problems that exist in the sector.
"We will seek to find solutions that are consensual and that benefit all of us," he said.
