According to VOA, news reports in several foreign media reported that the Ministry of Justice sent a letter to Singapore in March asking for the cooperation of the authorities in the process of identifying the assets and accounts of Isabel dos Santos, her late husband Sindika Dokolo and the French businessman of Congolese origin Konema Mwenenge.

The government justifies the request with the fact that Isabel dos Santos is the target of several lawsuits, including embezzlement of public funds, and therefore it is necessary to identify her assets.

According to VOA, the request for identification is likely linked to Isabel dos Santos and Sindika Dokolo's diamond business.

However, the reasons for the executive to have requested the identification of businessman Konema Mwenenge are not known. It is known that Konema Mwenenge has two companies, based in the United Arab Emirates, which are linked to the diamond business.

It is recalled that the businesswoman and her husband were involved in a diamond company, Sodiam, which ended up losing 200 million dollars when the former President, José Eduardo dos Santos, decided to order the financing of the establishment of a company to buy the De Grisogono jewelry company (which eventually declared bankruptcy).
