More than half of the jobs generated by the Furi project, located in Fucauma, Lunda Norte province, are national. According to Angop, 90 percent of the mine's workforce are citizens of Lunda Norte.

With a concession of 956 square kilometers, the mine currently produces 7,000 carats of diamonds per month.

Cited by Angop, Tobias Jungi, director of mining operations at the mine, said that by 2020 US$26 million had been invested in the project.

However, Jungi did not advance the amount of the turnover, indicating only that since the exploration operations started 110 thousand carats of diamonds have already been exported.

Tobias Jungi also explained that the exploration is done in the open pit and added that between 2019 and January this year, the project was regulating its monthly production.

According to the official, the project will now move forward with the creation of a third pre-treatment unit of 180 tons per hour. This unit will be erected in the vicinity of the Xifuto and Sampanhe areas, and is expected to produce 11,500 carats per month.

By next year, the mine's director of mining operations indicated that "with the capital investment for a fourth pre-treatment unit of 150 tons/hour and the like, to be erected in the vicinity of Sunza and Chamauma, it is expected to produce 17,000 carats per month resulting in an additional increase of 49 percent."
