Council of Ministers gives 'green light' to the creation of the Institute of Specialization in Health

The creation of the Health Specialization Institute was approved this Wednesday, in the 4th ordinary session of the Council of Ministers.

According to a statement of the session, cited by Angop, a combination of the National School of Public Health and the National Council for Post-Graduate Specialization in Health Sciences will give rise to the Institute of Specialization in Health.

This organism aims at fomenting, directing and monitoring the post-graduate training of the sector's staff.

Besides the creation of the institute, the Council of Ministers, with the purpose of submitting to the National Assembly, also evaluated the resolution on the Protocol between the Ministry of Interior and the South African Police Department.

According to Angop, the resolutions for the approval of the Revised Georgetown Agreement, Angola's adhesion to the 2006 International Tropical Timber Agreement, the protocol on SADC Forestry Activities and the Agreement on Port State Measures, also passed the sieve of that organ.

The Council of Ministers also gave 'green light' to the resolutions on the approval of the Cooperation Agreement between the Governments of Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo and on the protocols of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights that concerns the Rights of the Elderly in Africa and of Persons with Disabilities.
