Portuguese company develops innovative technology to help Angola fight covid-19

Portuguese company Iberglobal recently launched in Luanda an automatic door capable of "measuring body temperature without physical contact" and checking whether a person is wearing a face mask. Developed to help Angola fight the covid-19 pandemic, Iberglobal's director admitted that the company is considering "manufacturing security cabins in the country with" this technology.

Called Ibersafe, this technology was "designed and manufactured in Portugal" with the purpose of responding "to the needs of the Angolan market in the current context of the covid-19 pandemic.

According to a statement sent to VerAngola, this technology "uses facial recognition or identification patterns to measure body temperature without physical contact, as well as certification that the user is wearing a face mask, and then disinfects the person and objects using an 'ultrasonic atomizer'.

Quoted in the press release, Alfredo Jorge, Iberglobal's director, considered that Angola "is a very important market for the concretization of its interests, for being a young country, in full growth that needs to develop both in the technological and industrial point of view".

The responsible also made it known that the company is considering "manufacturing safety cabins with Ibersafe technology in the country, through an assembly line where it would be possible to incorporate specialized labor, knowledge, local raw material, expanding to neighboring countries.

The statement also indicates that this product was launched and supported by Compete 2020, having a European certification.
