According to a note from the LPG, published on its Facebook page, the infrastructure in question has been at a standstill for several years due to lack of funds.
"The infrastructure under the responsibility of the LPG has had its works paralyzed for years due to lack of financial resources," indicates the LPG, adding that the facilities will be completed by the General Command of the National Police.
The handing over of the facilities was formalized this Tuesday "after the signing of a protocol, held in the LPG's Main Hall, between the governor of Luanda province, Joana Lina Ramos Baptista Cândido and the General Commander of the PN, Paulo de Almeida.
Joana Lina used the occasion to ask Paulo de Almeida that "medical assistance and medication be extended to the population residing in the surroundings of the future hospital unit, since it was being built for the community".
The police general commander indicated that in addition to the personnel of that security force, the hospital will also provide health care to the residents.
"Providing services to the population all over the national territory is a traditional act that the police intends to continue", he stressed.
The facilities of the future hospital are located at kilometer 36, in the urban district of Bom Jesus, municipality of Icolo and Bengo, the note adds.
