Angola and Zambia plan to sign memorandum for oil pipeline construction on the 19th

Angola and Zambia will sign a memorandum for the construction of an oil pipeline in Luanda on the 19th of this month, for the Portuguese-speaking country to supply fuel, informed the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas.

The matter was discussed between the minister of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, Diamantino de Azevedo, and the ambassador of Zambia in Angola, Lawrence Chalungumana.

According to a note from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, the neighboring Republic of Zambia expressed interest in building a multi-product pipeline three years ago, from Lobito municipality, Benguela province, to supply its country. and the region in diesel, gasoline and gas.

The Zambian diplomat, mentioned in the note, said at the end of the meeting, that next Monday, the two holders of the portfolio can sign, in Luanda, the memorandum for the construction of the 'pipeline'.

"It will be an opportunity for Angola to enter the regional market that will generate jobs and energy," said Lawrence Chalungumana.
