The government plans to create 50,258 new jobs by 2022, said the Secretary of State for the Economy, Mário Caetano.

Cited by Angop, Caetano, who was speaking at the Ministry of Economy and Planning's bi-weekly briefing, said that this year Prodesi had already funded 103 projects. Last year, 661 projects received financing from the program, and the Government's objective of reaching a total of 1514 beneficiaries by next year is maintained.

Mário Caetano also made it known that 41 new jobs, distributed in four projects, were notified by the Ministry, last week: two were approved in Benguela, one in Lunda Norte and one in Malanje.

He said that, at this moment, the list of projects financed by Prodesi is led by the agriculture sector (354 projects approved), commerce (216 projects) and Transformation Industry (111 projects).

He also made an assessment of the registrations in the National Disclosure Portal: 11.953 producers have been registered since it came into force. A number that, according to the secretary, surpasses the objective established for this year, which foresaw the registration of 10 thousand producers. The Executive estimates to reach 40 thousand registered producers until 2022.

The list of provinces with more producers registered in the portal is led by Huíla, Bié and Huambo while Luanda, Benguela and Huambo are the provinces with more projects funded by Prosesi.
