According to the coordinator of the neighborhood Residents' Commission, António Costa, the drink causes as symptoms headache, body aches, nausea, general malaise, difficulty walking, in addition to loss of vision.

"There are other people in sector 12, but we can't reach them. The information they gave us is that they consumed a drink, which they call chief's water, mixed with JET and other products that we can't identify, but they say they are some buttons that come from a plough, they made the mixture of this drink and its ingestion gives back problems and other symptoms", explained António Costa.

According to the head of the residents' committee, support was given to the families to take a cab and take those affected to Josina Machel Hospital.
