Russian university recognizes talent of Angolan violinist

The Krasnodar University of the Russian Federation has recognized the talent of Angolan violinist Tanda Jaime, having recently awarded him the 'Prize Winner 1st Degree'.

:

Pedro Fançony, responsible for the Kaposoka Symphony Orchestra, of which Tanda Jaime is part, in a message addressed to the vice president, Bornito de Sousa, said that the Angolan scholar is also a talent, writes the newspaper O País.

In his message, Pedro Fançony also admitted that the violinist has a great future ahead of him.

Bornito de Sousa has a close relationship with this orchestra: last year he visited the project and was amazed by the quality of the performance of the young people who make up the orchestra.

According to the newspaper O País, during his courtesy visit, the vice-president had the opportunity to hear themes such as "Avó Beia", "Ressureição", "Namuleleno", "Hallelluia", among others.

Composed, in its great majority, by children, teenagers and young people who come from underprivileged families, the Kaposoka Symphony Orchestra was created in 2008.

Last year, it had registered 1591 children and young people in five schools located in Zango 3, Catete, Samba, Lobito and Sumbe. The project teaches classical music, linked to ethics, citizenship and civism. Although it is still present in a few points of the country, the goal, according to the same newspaper, is to expand the project to other provinces and reach 5000 students by 2023.
