Before singing the song, during the final gala of the contest "Stars on Stage", Matias Damásio revealed to the audience that the lyrics of his song were written by him and Ana Dias Lourenço.
"These lyrics were written by me and by her excellency first lady Ana Dias Lourenço," he said, quoted by Platinaline.
"Amar Angola" was released on November 11 last year, the day National Independence was celebrated.
