BNA launches bank licensing portal

The National Bank of Angola (BNA) launched this Monday, April 26, a bank licensing portal. This portal aims to "implement a direct communication channel between institutions and the supervisor, for the creation and management of licensing processes in a centralized manner".

:

"The National Bank of Angola on Monday, 26, through the Teams digital platform, made available to financial institutions the SILIF Portal - Integrated Licensing System of Financial Institutions," the BNA said in a statement published on its website.

According to the note, the portal will allow banking institutions "to register applications online, with automatic pre-validation of the information entered, attach all the necessary support documentation and receive notifications via e-mail on the status of the process and the decision.

The BNA also explains that in a first phase, the portal will integrate eight processes, such as "authorization for the establishment of financial institutions", "issuance of opinion for work visas", among others.

"The Integrated System for Licensing of Financial Institutions will allow the presentation of licensing processes in a faster, more intuitive and digital way, reducing the need for travel and the sending of documentation in physical format, in some cases," indicates the BNA.

In the note, the central bank says that this portal represents the achievement of "another step towards improving operational efficiency and simplifying processes.
