Tele-class with more subjects. Government allows tele-school continuation even after schools open

The Minister of Education, Luísa Grilo, revealed that the teleclass project may undergo changes: the executive is considering adding subjects to the programme and is even considering keeping it running after the current pandemic situation has been overcome.

One of the measures taken by the government to combat covid-19 was to close the schools. With schools closed behind closed doors, the executive was forced to find a solution for the education sector. This is how the tele-school arrived at the home of the Angolans. This solution, according to the ruler, has pleased the government.

Luísa Grilo said that the objective of the tutelage with the implementation of the tele-school - which is broadcast by the Angolan Public Television - is being achieved and, despite admitting that "there are still aspects to improve" the government is satisfied "with the results achieved.

The minister also revealed that the tele-school programme may undergo slight modifications. Among them is the change in the number of subjects, which may grow. "We started with the Portuguese Language and Mathematics subjects and we are going to increase the others", she said.

The tele-school could still be an initiative to be maintained even after the containment measures against the pandemic are lifted, he admitted.

Considering this initiative to be important, Luísa Grilo explained that teaching at home helps students to strengthen their knowledge at a time when the country is halfway through the gas.
