The Zau Evua Caves is about 80 kilometres from the headquarters of the municipality of M'Banza Congo in the province of Zaire.
Classified as National Cultural Heritage, these caves are a real tourist attraction. The fortress composed of carved stone and a lake that gives it a greenish hue makes them a kind of rare beauty of nature.
Considered as sacred, the caves can only be visited after attending an ancient ritual. Therefore, when you arrive at the site ask to speak with the local authority and from there you will be directed to the caves.
