Pedro Sebastião answered in the National Assembly the concern with Angolans who are in Turkey, waiting for a return flight, raised by the deputy of the Angolan Convergence of Salvation of Angola - Electoral Coalition (CASA-CE), André Mendes de Carvalho "Miau".
According to Pedro Sebastião, in Lisbon alone they are waiting for their return to the country, for over 4,000 passengers departing from Luanda to Portugal, and in the city of Porto more than 1000 Angolans.
"In Brazil, we have more than 1500 citizens waiting to return, in the city of Havana we have about 270 passengers, not to mention nearby, Kinshasa, or South Africa, in Johannesburg, which are more than 1200 passengers," he said. .
The official stressed that the country's authorities are doing everything they can, through diplomatic missions, to "give attention, as far as possible, so that these citizens are not abandoned".
"In the case of Turkey, they are under the control of the country's embassy, which housed them and is taking care of them," said Pedro Sebastião, adding that this does not mean that the Government's action ends there.
"There are other attitudes, gestures that the Government is making in order to minimize the difficulties that these citizens of ours who are around the world - as Angolans know travel a lot, there are people almost everywhere in the world - we must give due equal treatment for these citizens, who were taken by surprise where they were at the time of the declaration of the state of emergency ", he stressed.
