In an interview with Bloomberg and quoted by Expansão, Isabel dos Santos says she has "no immediate plans" to move forward with the disposal of the shares she controls in the companies Galp and NOS.
"These investments were made almost ten years ago," she says, stressing that "the markets are a little volatile now."
The businesswoman argues that "to divest these assets, it will have to be at the right time", stressing that she does not feel that "the market is mature now" to go ahead with the sale.
The businesswoman controls six percent of the shares in Galp through Exem, a company linked to Isabel dos Santos' late husband, Sindika Dokolo. In turn, Exem owns 40 percent of Esperanza Holding and the remaining 60 percent is controlled by Sonangol. Esperanza controls 45 percent of the shares in Amorim Energia, the largest shareholder of Galp (holding 33.34 percent).
Isabel dos Santos' presence in NOS is through Zopt, in which she controls 26.075 percent.
