In a statement sent to VerAngola, the flag carrier clarifies that these internships are aimed at deserving students from these educational institutions.
"TAAG – Linhas Aéreas de Angola, S.A. signed, this Thursday, March 6, two new cooperation protocols, namely with the Industrial Polytechnic Institute of Luanda (IPIL) and the Catholic University of Angola (UCAN), within the scope of providing academic and professional internships in the company, for meritorious students from the aforementioned institutions", reads the note.
As part of this partnership, the company says, internship opportunities are in the areas of support and management, operations, market and customer support, "which bring together several TAAG departments, providing students or recent graduates with an opportunity to accelerate their careers and acquire know-how, both in technical and administrative areas".
The agreement with IPIL was signed by the deputy director of IPIL, Engo Edson Sousa Viegas, and by the president of the Executive Committee (PCE) of TAAG, Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira, while the agreement with UCAN was signed by the rector of the aforementioned university, Maria da Assunção and the PCE of TAAG, Nelson Rodrigues de Oliveira.
In both institutions, "a session was held to present the internship program to students, facilitated by the human capital and organizational culture management of TAAG".
"With these partnerships, TAAG has signed its fifth protocol with educational institutions in Angola, reinforcing its commitment to the corporate pillar 'People and Community', aligned with its social responsibility action, in favor of the development of skills and creation of professional opportunities for future generations", the statement points out.
It is worth remembering that in January, the airline signed a partnership with Agostinho Neto University and the Higher Institute of Administration and Finance. In February, it signed a partnership with the Integrated Center for Technological Training.
