"The 3rd edition of the 'Mil Projectos de Negócios' program focuses on the creation of an interactive game based on the story of Queen Njinga Mbande, a sovereign who ruled the kingdoms of Ndongo and Matamba during the Portuguese invasion, from 1623 to 1663", reads a statement sent to VerAngola.
According to the statement, this project aims to boost the production of national games.
"The project is the result of a partnership with the Horizonte Njinga Mbande theater company and aims to boost the production of national games, being an innovation that combines technology, culture and history."
Speaking at a press conference, which took place last Thursday in Luanda, Laura Kava informed that the "launch is scheduled for November", during the third edition of the 'Startup Challenge 2025', adding that "this collaboration reinforces the program's commitment to the creative economy, promoting Angolan talent in the digital and entertainment sector".
On the occasion, the director also announced the opening of registrations for this year's edition of 'Mil Projectos de Negócios', having reaffirmed the "platform's responsibility to support entrepreneurship and innovation in Angola, strengthening the creative economy, promoting technology and innovation, as well as supporting sustainable development".
"After the opening, auditions will run until April 18 for entrepreneurs who wish to present their ideas and projects; the program includes three phases, the first 'Business Acceleration', which provides participants with a set of experiences through experienced entrepreneurs, in the second 'Project Incubation', entrepreneurs improve their ideas, products or services, in addition to receiving guidance from mentors, culminating in the presentation of projects to potential investors in the 'Startup Challenge 2025', as it is called", reads the note.
Also participating in the press conference were investment director Heraclito Costa and Bimer entrepreneur Bonifácio Tchivole.
"'Mil Projectos de Negócios' reaffirms itself as an essential platform for the transformation of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Angola, connecting innovation, talent and investment opportunities", the statement further states.
