In a press release, cited by Jornal de Angola, the INE says that the Minister of Planning, Victor Guilherme, appointed “for convenience of service and by the powers delegated by the President of the Republic”, Joel Bumba Sambo Futi to the post of Director-General of the National Institute of Statistics.
Joel Futi replaces José Calengi in the position.
The National Institute of Statistics is a public institution whose mission is to streamline, coordinate, collect, process and disseminate official national statistical information. It is supervised by the Ministry of Planning.
