It was through the voice of the National Director of Labor, António Estote, that the ministry clarified the details of the processing of the increase in public sector salaries.
The official, speaking to the press at the Aníbal de Melo Press Center, assured that the Executive "completed the processing of the 25 percent salary increase, at the same time as making the retroactive payments for the month of January."
Quoted in a statement from the ministry, to which VerAngola had access, Estote also assured that the Government "expects to pay another part of the retroactive payments in the salary processing of this month of March in an amount above 33 billion kwanzas".
On the occasion, the National Director of Labor asked public servants to remain calm, ensuring that "procedures will be taken care of throughout the salary adjustment process" in the country.
"Servers must remain calm," Estote said.
The postponement of the wage increase has caused controversy, with unions threatening to go on strike if the 25 percent increase is not delivered in February.
However, in mid-February, the Ministry of Finance, through a statement, announced that the salary increase for public servants would already be reflected in the February salary processing.
