Márcio Daniel was until now Secretary of State for Local Authorities, according to a note from the presidency's press services.
The Council of Ministers decided on Wednesday to separate the areas that made up the then Ministry of Culture and Tourism, giving rise to two distinct ministerial departments.
Filipe Zau was reappointed as Minister of Culture, with Maria da Piedade de Jesus also appointed as Secretary of State for Culture.
