Nossa Seguros announces growth of 23 percent

Nossa Seguros released its 2023 financial report this Tuesday, having reached a revenue of 54.3 billion kwanzas, which translates into a growth of 23 percent compared to 2022, in which it recorded a revenue of around 44.3 billion kwanzas.

The numbers were presented by Alexandre Carreira, president of the Executive Committee of Nossa Seguros, who stated that with the 23 percent growth in Gross Premiums Issued, the insurer managed to adapt to the country's economic environment, maintaining a growth trajectory. This growth is also reflected in the increase in the number of customers and policies.

With regard to financial performance, the person in charge explained that the institution maintains a robust position, with a solvency margin of 306 percent and a technical provisions coverage ratio of 198 percent, which provides guarantees to shareholders and investors.

Alexandre Carreira also mentioned that the net results for the 2023 financial year were 8.4 billion kwanzas, a growth of 23 percent compared to the previous year, with the average annual growth in the last four years being 20 percent. The insurer's equity capital was also highlighted, which grew by around 33 percent.

In terms of innovation, Nossa Seguros refers to the launch of new features in its mobile application, as well as the introduction of services such as direct debit.

With the aim of reinforcing its position as market leader, the insurer states that these results "are the product of prudent management and a well-defined strategy, focused on maintaining a diversified offer of products", both for private and private clients. business.

For the future, the insurer wants to reach the country's 18 provinces, with the health sector remaining the main source of revenue.

Remember that Nossa Seguros has 26 agencies in 16 Angolan provinces. The insurer manages a total of 217 thousand policies, for 165 thousand customers, employing 171 employees, as well as 151 brokers and mediators.
