Angola debuts at the African Skating Championship

The country will make its debut at the African Skating Championship, in different disciplines, such as skating, in line speed running, among others.


In the championship – which will take place between the 2nd and 6th of August in Lagos, Nigeria – Angola will be present, in an unprecedented way, in disciplines such as roller skating, in line speed racing, classic slalom, as well as slalom speed, in both genders, writes to Angop.

In terms of choosing the athletes who will make up the national delegation, the first skating championship in Luanda will be held, with the best classifieds in each specialty joining the teams, explained Tecas Manuel, coordinator of the event, cited by Angop.

The Luanda championship will take place between April 16 and July 30, with the road competitions taking place on Deolinda Rodrigues and Marginal avenues, while the rest will take place in Cidadela pavilions, said the official, quoted by Angop.

Tecas Manuel also said that the time has come for them to compete officially and develop the disciplines of the sport: "The time has come for us to compete officially and develop these disciplines of skating", he said, quoted by Angop.
