Anabela Couto de Castro Valente, António Fernando Neto da Costa, Artur Domingos Gunza, Inácio Paixão, Maria Guiomar Vieira Dias Gamboa Craveiro, Paciência Graça Diaquisse Dondeiro Simão, Pedro Nazaré Pascoal and Raul Carlos de Freitas Rodrigues are the judges appointed by João Lourenço to provide the position of judges of the Supreme Court.
To date, António Fernando Neto da Costa occupied the position of assistant secretary of the Council of Ministers, being appointed to his place, José Maria Varela Gomes Borges.
The referred magistrates were the candidates approved by a curricular competition promoted by the Superior Council of the Judiciary, says a press release.
The public tender to fill eight vacancies for judges at the Supreme Court was approved in October 2022.
João Lourenço also dismissed this Monday, for convenience of service, Francisco João de Carvalho Neto, from the post of Secretary of the President of the Republic for Judicial and Legal Affairs and appointed Edilson Paulo Agostinho to the post.
Francisco João de Carvalho Neto was appointed by the President's auxiliary bodies as having been responsible for João Lourenço appointing, last week, a director who died two years ago, to the board of directors of the Luanda Railway.
