The information was released this Monday, in Ndalatando (Cuanza Norte), by Hénio Costa, interim director of the Road Transport Institute.
According to Hénio Costa, quoted by Angop, almost half of the buses were delivered to the capital: Luanda received 500 buses, taking into account its urban character and number of inhabitants.
The official also informed that the National Public Transport Expansion Program presupposes obtaining 1793 buses to be allocated to private operators, as part of the reinforcement of urban circulation.
According to Angop, these means are given as a loan to agents operating in the transport sector in the country, chosen at provincial level, through recognition of their technical capacity, monetary situation and experience.
The buses are budgeted at 58 million kwanzas, paid in 120 monthly installments of 480 thousand kwanzas each.
