According to a statement from the Ministry of Transport, the two entities signed a memorandum of cooperation this Thursday with a view to developing a National Logistics Strategy, which includes the implementation of a pilot project to demonstrate the importance of cold logistics infrastructures or temperature controlled for export purposes.
The note highlights Angola's "enormous potential" for fruit production, especially avocados, mangoes and citrus fruits, although exports are limited due to various logistical constraints.
"Flying Swans specializes in meeting these challenges by offering end-to-end logistics chain solutions, in direct collaboration with local entities responsible for implementing development policies in these sectors areas of interest", adds the ministry.
The Flying Swans consortium is a Dutch organization focused on the development of temperature-controlled logistics projects, with the support of the Dutch government and private actors.
ARCCLA is a regulatory entity, which inspects and supervises logistics activity and related matters, responsible for the design, elaboration, application and implementation and control of rules and regulations that contribute to the facilitation of trade, maritime traffic and logistical operations.
