Eugénio Laborinho was speaking at the opening of the Higher Police Council which is being held in Luanda this Thursday, with the preparation of personnel to ensure the general elections scheduled for August this year as part of the agenda.
"Despite the efforts made, we have still recorded theft of electrical cables, vandalism of gutters, windows and doors of public buildings, schools and hospitals, as well as the removal of components from railway lines, the recurrence of damage to public transport, namely buses", said the minister.
The official reiterated the adoption of operational measures for the prevention and repression of these acts, which harm everyone.
Regarding the general elections, Eugénio Laborinho stressed that for over a year the National Police has been organizing to ensure the electoral process, a topic included in the agenda of this meeting.
The head of the Interior portfolio stressed that the police have been committed to increasingly improving their level of performance, using the law as a guiding instrument.
