Angola and Serbia sign visa waiver agreement

Four agreements, including one on the exemption of visas in diplomatic and service passports, were signed this Monday between Angola and Serbia. The legal instruments were signed as part of the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in various fields between both countries.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), among the signed documents is a memorandum of understanding on political consultations between Mirex and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.

An agreement on the exemption of visas in diplomatic and service passports was also signed between the governments of the two countries, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the Diplomatic Academy of Mirex and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia.

Finally, the two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Nikola Selakovic, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, "as well as Vicente Francisco Soares, for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Angola and Marko Cadez, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Serbia", the statement said.

According to the Mirex note, the efforts made between both countries are aimed at "bringing together common interests" as well as reflecting "the willingness of the parties to leverage bilateral relations, with a view to implementing agreements that guarantee reciprocal advantages".
