MPLA criticizes “some opposition” that privileges only “government negativism”

The MPLA parliamentary group, the ruling party, criticized this Thursday “some opposition” for favoring only “government negativism”, defending the Government's concern in carrying out actions to meet the needs of society.

The political declaration was presented this Thursday during the third ordinary plenary meeting of the 5th legislative session of the IV legislature of the National Assembly, in the period before the agenda, which runs with a 13-point agenda.

The first vice-president of the parliamentary group of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), Manuel da Cruz Neto, advised the opposition not to anticipate the electoral campaign for the general elections, scheduled for the second half of August this year.

"Those who have never ruled have the legitimacy to dream, but all things in life are achieved through experimentation, so take it easy, if you work well you will get there", he stressed.

Manuel da Cruz Neto stressed that the citizen knows that the executive and the MPLA are concerned with carrying out actions, "that lead to the satisfaction of society's needs and therefore have to face everything around them with pragmatism and realism".

"Who do you want to convince? Angolans? Well, all of us Angolans live in the same political, economic, social and cultural situation, regardless of the context that each one makes individually", said the deputy from the majority party.

The MPLA's first vice-president stressed that his party does not give up on its aspirations for the continuity of power, criticizing "some opposition, as a legitimate aspirant to political power" that acts in the sense of privileging governmental negativism, "that is, of denying everything, including even what they recognize to be fine, seeking in this way to capture the sympathy of those who have to choose it to be an option for the ruling party".

The MPLA deputy highlighted that despite the fact that the debates in the specialty have increased "in intensity and quality, always aiming at the defense of public interests", the opposition "unfortunately, when it comes to approving the important instruments discussed, (...) in addition to do not vote in favor of their own suggestions, accepted and introduced in the documents, still contradict it, both on social networks and often in plenary".
