According to Jornal de Angola, the factory – which is the result of an agreement between the Italian company Prodit Engineering SpA and the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training – will be built in the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), in a space of seven hectares.
Speaking at the end of a visit by an Italian delegation to the place where the factory will be built, the chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of Prodit Engineering SpA, Maria Donata Gentile, assured that the factory will, in the future, produce technological equipment for the agriculture, tourism and rail transport sectors.
Without giving a specific date for the start of the works, the company's CEO, quoted by Jornal de Angola, considered that the initial investment of US$50 million should double, based on the planned capacity to be installed for production.
Named 'Prodit Engineering Angola', the unit will be directed to the production of teaching materials for workshops and laboratories for all categories of education.
In addition to the equipment, it will also ensure the training of managers and trainers as well as the maintenance and restoration of instruments related to means of support for people with physical disabilities, writes Jornal de Angola.
Most of the equipment that will be produced in the ZEE is already manufactured in Italy and can be used in various fields, namely in renewable energy, refrigeration, mechanics, IT, among others.
