In a note made available on its Facebook, the Government says that a delegation from the multinational, led by Hussain Sajwani, was received this Thursday by the head of state, where future investments in the country were discussed.

Speaking at the end of the audience, Hussain Sajwani made it known that they intend to "start businesses" in Angola budgeted at "hundreds of millions of dollars".

"We know that Angola is a very powerful country, in terms of West Africa and Southern Africa. With its wealth in terms of oil and gas, it is a country with modern infrastructures, with a very visionary presidency and leadership. it's a country that respects itself and that's why we want to do first-class business here", he said.

However, the official did not say what the exact amount will be to invest in Angola, considering that it is still premature to point out a concrete number as exploratory studies are being carried out.

"We are sure that when the investments start happening they will be in the order of hundreds of millions of dollars," he added.

According to the statement, Hussain Sajwani was "satisfied" with this first meeting with João Lourenço: "The main objective of this trip, which I consider to be a great success, is to have this first meeting with the President of the Republic of Angola, a person we we respect it a lot and it has a very broad vision. Therefore, we are here to seek investment opportunities in several areas", he said.

DAMAC operates in around 12 countries in the field of civil construction, developing projects such as hotels, houses, offices, among others.
