According to accounts made by the newspaper Mercado, the 1.07 billion kwanzas collected last January correspond to 17 percent of the total of 6.12 billion kwanzas of oil revenues conjectured in this year's OGE.
In the period under review, oil gains increased by around 80 percent compared to the amounts collected in December 2021 (590.9 billion kwanzas). Compared to the same period in 2021, earnings grew by more than 200 percent, having gone from 302.5 billion kwanzas to 1.07 billion kwanzas.
If the revenue growth trend continues like this, the country could reach the total oil gains conjectured in this year's OGE by June, writes the Mercado.
According to the same newspaper – which was based on data from the Special Taxation Directorate, specifically on data referring to tax returns sent to the General Tax Administration (AGT) by oil companies, also including the National Agency for Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG) –, the average price of a barrel of crude oil exported by the country in January stood at around US$75, around US$16 more than the US$59 projected in the 2022 OGE.
Remember that the OGE for this year is based on the average price of a barrel of oil at 59 dollars.
