According to Novo Jornal, the ambulance transporting patients was on its way to the Luanda Children's Hospital to transport a patient, when it crashed and collided with a Macon bus, causing the death of the ambulance driver.
A source of the National Police, cited by the same newspaper, said that only one fatality was registered. The same source revealed that the victim was about 50 years old.
The apparent accident occurred around 08:00 this Wednesday and the alert was given around 09:30. On the scene were the fire department and the Department of Traffic and Road Safety.
The accident may have been caused by excessive speed, reports Novo Jornal.
