Covid-19: Angola registers 43 new infections and 57 recovered in the last 24 hours

Health officials reported 43 new covid-19 infections and 57 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, with no deaths recorded.

According to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Directorate of Public Health, of the total cases recorded in the last 24 hours, 23 were in Luanda, nine in Benguela, nine in Zaire, one in Huambo and an equal number in Malanje, aged between the three and 69 years old, 27 male and 16 female.

Regarding the recovered, 51 were in Luanda, three in Huambo, two in Cuando Cubango and one in Benguela, aged 10 months to 61 years.

With the data reported in the period in question, the country now has a total of 21,489 positive cases, 522 deaths, 20,028 recovered and 939 active, of which six are in critical condition, 14 severe, 38 moderate, 29 mild and 852 asymptomatic, 82 people were hospitalized, 98 under forty institutional and 1391 contacts under epidemiological surveillance.

The data indicate, with regard to the laboratories, the processing of 1207 samples by RT-PCR, pointing the cumulative to 414,240 processed samples, with a positivity rate of 5.2 percent.

At the entry and exit points of Luanda province, the only one under a sanitary fence, 608 people were tested on the basis of rapid serological tests, with the complement of the antigen in reactive cases.
