Catholic chapel in Moxico robbed

A chapel of the Sisters Daughters of Jesus, in Luena city, Moxico province, was robbed by "unknown people" who took several sacred objects and sound material, reports the Catholic Broadcasting Station of Angola.

According to the missionary Luzia Candeeiro, the robbery in the chapel of São Bento occurred this Monday and "the robbers entered through one of the windows" of the Catholic institution that shows no signs of a break-in.

"They took the altar cloth, carpets, vases, missals, some prayer breviaries, and the sound material," the nun told lamenting the situation.

The Catholic missionary, who assured to inform the police authorities of the province, recalled that the chapel is a place for worship and other religious activities, having "reproved and condemned" such practice.
