The platform is designed to simplify the procedures for visa applications to Portugal. With the introduction of e-VISA, “visa applications and the sending of the necessary documents for processing the application can be made electronically”, explains the ministry in a statement to which VerAngola had access.
After starting the process through the e-VISA portal, applicants receive a personal access code that allows online monitoring of the process.
Online visa applications for Portugal will go through four phases: ‘Registered application’, ‘Order under review’, ‘Deferred / rejected application’ and ‘Visa issued’.
The platform will continue to be developed with a view to including, in the future, the possibility of paying the administrative fee for processing the application to be also carried out through the platform.
The statement also informs that e-VISA is available on the Communities Portal and the Visa Portal, and can be viewed in five languages: Portuguese, English, French, Ukrainian and Russian.
