The information was provided this Monday by Carlos Vicente, a doctor at the Andulo Municipal Hospital, where the man known as the "King of the Mountains" was being taken for assistance, having died on his way to the health unit.
According to witnesses, quoted by the news agency, Angop, the "King of the Mountains" was on stage during a show when he was stung in one of his arms by a poisonous snake, called "eulu-linene".
Even though he was stung, the man continued with his skills, rejecting medical assistance, but hours later his arm began to ignite, calling for help.
For more than 15 years, the "King of the Mountains" had been creating snakes and performing four shows a week with the animals in some neighborhoods of Andulo, to which he took different types of snakes.
