According to Executive Decree 107/20, dated March 9 and published in the Official Gazette, the ban on felling and circulation of wood in forest plantations is lifted because the Patrimonial Inventory of Forest Perimeters has already been completed.
A previous decree, dated June 4, 2019, dictated the ban, after the public forest perimeters existing in the provinces of Huambo, Benguela, Huila and Bié have been reintegrated into the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
The diploma mentioned a 90-day ban period, given the need to make an inventory of these forest perimeters.
